First ever European Parliament plenary session held in Brussels4.02.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 2nd Sep 2008
'Celebrating with Liberal Democrat colleagues the first ever European Parliament plenary session to be held in Brussels, Sarah said: 'The collapse of part of the ceiling of the plenary chamber of the European Parliament in Strasbourg is a serious matter. But nonetheless, it is an ill wind......and the opportunity for MEPs to avoid the expensive, wasteful and CO2-emitting monthly travelling circus to Strasbourg is worth marking. Hopefully this will help in our reform campaign to make Brussels where we have committee meetings our one and only permanent seat To see pictures of Sarah and her fellow MEPs at the first plenary session in Brussels go to the Campaign for Parliamentary Reform website at: http://www.ep-reform.eu/news-past.php
