Ludford co-hosts conference on Muslim women in the media

Sarah co-hosted with her colleague Saj Karim MEP a conference on the perception of Muslim women in the media 'myth or reality' and is shown here with one of the organizer and speakers, Noura Jaballah, President of the European Forum of Muslim Women.

Sarah said:

"The main message was to avoid either overlooking or stereotyping Muslim women, who of course are just as varied as any others in their outlook and preferences. The more that Muslim women are given their own voices through being represented in the media, the more they can express their own points of view."
